Overcoming Daily Challenges: Strategies and Resilience 🌟

Image
Life’s daily obstacles can feel like relentless waves, overshadowing and overpowering us but they also offer opportunities to grow - if we utilize them to our advantage. Sometimes, it feels like the odds are against you and you feel like throwing in the trowel but I’m here to encourage you not to. Let me show you a few tips on how I manage and overcome my daily challenges, you might find them helpful. 1. Break It Down: Tackle big tasks by breaking them into smaller steps. A stone is easier to throw than moving a mountain. One step at a time makes the mountain feel like hills. 2. Stay Flexible: Life rarely goes as planned. Embrace change and adapt—turn roadblocks into opportunities. Don’t be rigid. 3. Positive Mindset: Focus on what you can control and maintain optimism. Positive thinking fuels confidence. Even when it feels like you are not there yet, be positive minded. 4. Seek Support: Asking for help does not mean you are weak; Lean on friends, family, or colleagues for fresh pe...

NYSC; Not a Journey, It Was an Experience.

I left Peace Mass Transit Akure at about 9:10am exactly for Umuahia in Abia State. As usual, I was enthusiastic about the journey as I love traveling so well.  Since the bus had almost only PCMs on board, it was not hard to make new (casual) friends. The journey begin to become tiring ;l;lwhen we got to Onitsha heading towards Imo and we were meeting so many military checkpoints on the way. " oga, we be corper" became a song in our mouth as everyone one kept asking who are you guys... Long story short about the journey, we arrived Umuahia at 10:37pm after my butt became swollen from sitting for too long... Long story short about the journey, we arrived Umuahia at 10:37pm after my butt became swollen from sitting for too long... Building and Nurturing Relationships

Image
Guess what? No one is an island—despite how cool it sounds! We all need a little help sometimes, and that’s where relationships come in. Whether it's your ride-or-die BFF, a mentor who’s always got your back, or that colleague who makes Mondays less stressful, a solid support system is key to thriving and excelling. 👫💪 You think support system is not good? Imagine carrying a couch up a flight of stairs alone. Tough, right? Now picture a few strong friends helping out. Instant game-changer! That’s what a support system does—makes life’s heavy loads lighter. Support systems offer emotional, mental, and sometimes even physical boosts. They cheer you on when you’re on a roll and lift you up when you’re down. They offer advice, lend an ear, and just sit with you when words fail. 🌈 Regardless, there are things to do/mange when building your dream team: 1. Be Intentional: Just like plants need water, relationships need attention. Choose people who add value—those who are positive and ...

Left, Right... MARCH

So, I have a lot of things to share with you this month, you might even need popcorn and a cold Hollandia strawberry flavored yoghurt to chill with 😋.  So, February ended and a lot of happenings and doings actually ensued as the month went by.  Let me start with the Valentine stories (yes, I am a man of love 🥰).  Lots of breakfasts were served.  Lots of hearts were broken.  Lots of vows were renewed.  Lots of hearts found love.  But one thing was constant in all of these, and that is LOVE . It is never enough to confess our love and/or affection towards others but intentionality and commitment is needed to grow such love and that's one of the reasons why we should mind the way we use the word LOVE as it carries strong powers.  “...God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them" God values the word love so much and has extended that kind gesture towards us, we also should in turn love others unconditionally. Back to busi...

Power of Planning

Image
January did catch some folks unaware.  Myself for instance being a serving corp member who had already received the monthly allowance for December since 23rd of last month 😂 and so did most salary earners get theirs too and now, the month with 5 weeks (January) already ended with most organizations (Government & Private) yet to pay salaries for January.  What did that suggest to (teach) you?  The Power Of Planning. No one except God really knows what the future holds and that's why this year, starting from this very instant (if you're yet to), you should be intentional about how you spend each day.  Don't just live the day as it comes (que sera sera; what will be will be), have a solid plan for each days of them month.  Yearly plan, Quarterly Plan, Monthly Plan, Weekly Plan, even Daily Plans should not be left behind.  Else, the year will and catching you unawares just like January did and you'll discover you achieved little or nothing.  JANUARIES...

MAKE IT PLAIN

Image
…Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. (Habakkuk 2:2). A lot comes with the New Year when people decide on their respective New Year resolutions and all. Looking back at what they were unable to achieve in the past year(s) and what their mates are achieving that they’ve not been able to achieve, it tends to make one nervous and thereby causing fear and anxiety to set in. New years are not just for the fun of it, or just to count the numbers of years you have witnessed on earth but a time to reflect on the past and make plans for the future on how you can further impact your world. Setting visions and plans for the New Year is much more important than engaging in the New Year jamboree. However, plans are not to be made without running through them till the year runs to an end. The word of the Lord in the book of Habakkuk 2:2 weren’t just for the books but it states how much importance God places on putting your plans and aspirations into writi...

THE REAL JOY OF CHRISTMAS

Image
The angel announced the source of that joy to the shepherds on that first Christmas night: “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of a great joy which shall be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:10-11). Even if you haven’t received Christ as your Saviour, you may have some good feelings at this season. It is a wonderful time of the year. It’s always good to be with family and friends, to enjoy good food, and to exchange gifts. But I’m talking about something different, something deeper. The true joy of Christmas lasts all year long. It is the abiding joy of knowing for certain that things are right between you and God. It is the contentment that comes from knowing that you have a hope that holds constant beyond the uncertainties of this life. That kind of lasting joy comes only to the one who has personally received God’s gift of the Saviour.   THE REAL JOY OF CHRISTMAS! ·...
